Our firm offers a unique career opportunity for professionals who are as passionate about personal and professional growth as our team is. We are committed to providing the highest level of design and engineering expertise and customer service to our clients. For those who join the Stonefield team, we provide the tight-knit feel of a small firm while offering unparalleled access to management, meaningful project responsibility, and opportunities for continued career advancement.
Stonefield provides design, engineering, and consulting services for real estate developers, universities, and public agencies. We are continually looking to expand our boundaries, capabilities, and services. Above all, we are problem-solvers and solution-finders for our clients and the communities we work in. We employ technology—from leading-edge communication tools to geographic information systems and 3- D modeling software—to provide accurate, creative, and easily comprehensible project documents that meet the objectives of our clients.
Stonefield Engineering & Design is currently recruiting an experienced Licensed Landscape Architect to join and help grow our Landscape Design Team. This is a dynamic position offering the opportunity to take a leading role in the design and execution of a diverse portfolio of land development projects while collaborating closely with Stonefield’s civil engineering, planning, surveying, and traffic engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will bring a strong landscape architecture and site design background, demonstrated project leadership experience, strong interpersonal and client-facing skills, intellectual curiosity, and a desire for continued professional growth. As Stonefield is a multidisciplinary firm, the ability to collaborate across disciplines and contribute to integrated site design solutions is essential.
Responsibilities will include leading landscape architecture and site design efforts from initial concept through permitting and construction. The Licensed Landscape Architect will be responsible for developing creative and functional site plans, landscape and planting plans, hardscape design, grading concepts, lighting coordination, and other site design elements.
The position will also include project management responsibilities, client coordination, zoning and land development permitting, presentations before municipal boards and reviewing agencies, preparation and review of construction documents, field observations, site plan drafting and review, photorealistic renderings, environmental considerations, and preparation of project reports and supporting documentation.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of projects, mentor and support junior staff, contribute to the continued development of Stonefield’s landscape architecture capabilities, and play an active role in strengthening and expanding the firm’s Site Design practice.
While there are numerous technical skills that will contribute to success in this position—including expertise in AutoCAD, site design, grading, planting design, permitting, and construction documentation—we are equally interested in professionals who seek to overcome challenges, develop creative solutions, and be innovators within the industry.
Experience SketchUp and/or other 3-D visualization software, photorealistic rendering, municipal board presentations, construction administration, irrigation design, and business development is a plus.
At Stonefield, we believe that our people are our greatest asset. That’s why we’ve built a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, well-being, financial future, and overall happiness—both inside and outside of work.
We’re always looking for ways to expand and enhance our benefits, ensuring Stonefield remains a place where people can thrive personally and professionally.
