Wes Nyle is a collaboration between singers and songwriters Austin Rigdon and Mark Cleveland. When playing live, Mark handles the instruments and backup vocals, and Austin handles lead vocals.
The name derives from a doodle Austin drew of a “W” and “N” in high school. He coined the phrase “Wes Nyle” shortly thereafter, wrote two songs to create a rough sketch of his vision, and had them recorded. He later acquired Mark (a fellow native of Port Saint Lucie, and aspiring engineer & producer at the time) as his co-writer, and began composing complete tracks which show the full range of the band’s sound.
In 2015, citing financial hardship and Austin’s personal injury, the band was forced to take a hiatus and place the album’s development on hold. Over the next couple years, they would continue working but could not justify a release with no way to tour in support of it. In 2017, they completed their debut release This is Just the Beginning and immediately take to the streets to spread their musical infection to the masses.
